Kikki K Medium Mint Planner – Unboxing and First Impressions

Last week after a long (and impatient) wait, my medium dark mint Kikki K planner got delivered. The post service tried to deliver it on Wednesday and Thursday but I was not at home and finally they dropped it off at a pick up point. So Saturday morning arrived and the first thing that I did was go and collect it.

As you can see, it came packaged very well and protected from any possible damage.

Very beautiful! This is the first Kikki K that I have ever been tempted to pay full price for. Reviews of poor quality issues of their planners have kept me away. Unfortunately the rings on these are not so great. There are slight gaps that I have tried to capture in the pictures below. Perhaps because they ship it with the inserts in the rings? I haven’t noticed that the pages catch in the rings so I will not return it. And if you look closely (in the pics above) you may also see that the stitching is not perfect on the inside. But this doesn’t bother me so much as they say that they are all handmade.

Conclusion of first impression

Pros:

  • Comes with a box!
  • Beautiful colour
  • Good protective packaging for shipping
  • Beautiful and attentive packaging of product
  • 30mm rings
  • Lots of note paper, nice dividers and stickers
  • Undated monthly pages to start planning whenever you please.

Cons:

  • Slight gaps in rings
  • Some faulty stitching
  • Inserts shipped in the rings instead of apart.

That’s it for now. I am still on my pocket challenge so I will write a proper review when I actually get to use it properly. I have one more planner on the way… It’s a surprise so stay tuned!!!

‘Till then,

P.
