Happy New Year!!!
I don’t know about you guys but so much was going through my mind on New Year’s Eve. In general I become very pensive and reflective as the new year approaches. I’m not one to celebrate the new year in a big way, with party’s and such, but I do enjoy watching the fireworks as midnight strikes. This New Year’s Eve I really felt the contrast. I live quite close to the city center, so usually I hear a lot of noises of celebration. It was so quiet!!!! It really hit me in a new way how much life has changed. And although that (along with some other thoughts) brought feelings of sadness, I had a bigger feeling of thankfulness. I was overwhelmed with gratitude that my family, friends and I had made it through the year alive and as well as we could be! That couldn’t be said of 2019 so I am grateful. My hope for us all is that we do not forget the lessons that 2020 taught us. That we try to be kind to ourselves, to others and to our planet. And I hope that we are able to finally meet and hug our loved ones and never take that or them for granted.
Okay, so what planners will I be using in 2021? I will continue using my A5 Filofax Charleston as my work planner. My A6 ring planners will still be used as a sort of reference planner, but I will also attempt to make more use of it for project planning as well. My main EDC will be a pocket sized ring planner. For now it will double as a wallet and planner, but that may change. I may move my wallet into a mini Mia Cara that I recently purchased from Gillio Firenze (blog post to come soon about that haul).
So that’s it! At least for now. I can’t promise it will stay like this for the whole year. I always tend to want to change around the summer time, or when the new school year starts I make changes to my work planner. I already have an idea of some changes to my work planner which I discuss briefly in my YouTube video (see below), but in any case I will keep you all updated :).
What planner or planners will you be using this year? Is it the same as last year or are you trying out something new? Let me know in the comments.
